[Football Cup Theme Players]
The Football Cup 2026 theme — created to commemorate every iconic Football Cup moment. As the second theme in Total Football with an OVR upgrade mechanic, the rules are:

— Each time a national team advances a round, their players receive a new theme appearance.
— Player OVR increases in sync with the national team's progression — +1 per round advanced.
— If the national team wins the tournament, players' OVR can increase by up to 5 points from the initial rating.
— Player sub-attributes, playing style and traits will also be adjusted based on real Football Cup performance.

Football Cup Theme Player Selection Rules:
Top 48: Players selected for Football Cup qualifying or the final Football Cup squad. Some players in the qualifying squad may not make the final Top 48 list depending on appearances and time played.
Top 32 onwards: Based primarily on the actual USA-Canada-Mexico Football Cup final squad. Some players in the Top 48 list may not make the Top 32. Players newly added to national teams shortly before the tournament starts will also be added to the Theme Player list in the June update.
Final squad lists are subject to the lists published on the in-game special event page.
